Lunch Lecture: TROI/Police

May 31 @ 12:30 - 13:45

The police is faced with more and increasingly complex data each year. Traditionally the police is focused on ‘social policing’, which makes it challenging to switch to a data driven organisation. TROI (Team Rendement Operationele Informatie) was established to bridge the gap between detectives and the possibilities new AI-models bring. In a multidisciplinary team of developers, data scientists and UX designers we build accessible (web)applications for every detective that quickly provide insight on confiscated operational data. In the upcoming presentation we’ll discuss some of our applications and their use of AI. We are always looking for students who want to contribute to more efficient ways of finding proof of crimes in a digital haystack.
